Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cristiano Neves kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in SC Espadanal's zone, Cristiano Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vicente Sá came out of the goal and Cristiano Neves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 9 played minutes SC Espadanal got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Assis. If Carlos Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, Carlos Garcia dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Basílio Valente, 1-0. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Ricardo Rodrigues put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Vicente Sá. In the 27thth minute of the game Ricardo Rodrigues who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Espadanal's Vicente Sá was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 35th minute, one of SC Espadanal:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Espadanal. Cristiano Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basílio Valente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gaspar Moura struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Vicente Sá didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Granjal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Garcia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gaspar Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Sá having to interfere. With a little luck, SC Espadanal's Vicente Sá got control of the ball when Ricardo Rodrigues tried to sneak it across the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Cristiano Neves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Granjal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Espadanal the free kick. A collision led to SC Granjal getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Cristiano Neves hit a great ball. Vicente Sá showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 84 minutes into the game, Carlos Garcia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Basílio Valente was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alexandre Borba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Valente having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
