Becos's Fernando Torres shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 16th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jacinto Domingues but with some difficulty. Manuel Reis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiago Anjos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, Zimao FC's Tiago Anjos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manuel Reis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. José Magalhães's late challenge caught a Becos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Magalhães helped the player get up and apologised. After 25 played minutes Zimao FC got a freekick which was hit by José Magalhães. In the 31st minute Tiago Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Domingues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Carneiro in the 35th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, André Carneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zimao FC's supporters rose to their feet, but André Carneiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Reis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Becos's Jorge Fernandes pulled a muscle in his back after 46 minutes and couldn't finish the game. José Magalhães was shown his second yellow card after 46 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match.

The wind increased when André Carneiro made the kick off in the second half. Paulo Pinho made a great header on Zimao FC's corner, it was just that Becos's Manuel Reis managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 68th minute, André Carneiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Adelino Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
