Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Tiago Trindade made the kick off which started today's match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by António Valente during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 5 minutes, Sérgio Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Pacos and the Espargo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sérgio Azevedo hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. If Rogério Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xavier Setúbal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiago Trindade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Afonso Aguiar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rogério Almeida's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Rogério Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Afonso Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Espargo FC's Gil Guarda got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Afonso Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Valente in the 25th minute of the match. Xavier Setúbal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Gaspar in the 30th minute. Espargo FC's Tiago Trindade got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Afonso Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Valente in the 44th minute of the match. Mariano Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 1-0 became the score in the 47th minute when Tiago Trindade elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mariano Gaspar in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Xavier Setúbal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Afonso Aguiar made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Rogério Almeida sent off a good shot on target. After 61 played minutes Espargo FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Vale. 62 minutes into the game, António Valente recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Afonso Aguiar. António Valente showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. António Valente struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Afonso Aguiar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Pacos. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rogério Almeida got free with Afonso Aguiar in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mariano Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Pacos's Rogério Almeida got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. António Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Aguiar having to interfere. When Gil Guarda fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Espargo FC's protests and gave Gil Guarda a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC Pacos booed when Espargo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gil Guarda didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 92 played minutes SC Pacos got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Rodrigues. Tiago Trindade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
