Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Afonso Azevedo made the kick off and thus started the match. After a defensive mix-up in Barrenta FC's zone, Francisco Assunção stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albertino Pires came out of the goal and Francisco Assunção tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ricardo Guerreiro hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. If Francisco Assunção had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Burguete defense, Tomás Queirós kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vasco Amaro. The Burguete fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vasco Amaro should have stopped the shot. Daniel Resende charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Resende the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Burguete getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Daniel Resende hit a great ball. After 17 played minutes, Barrenta FC's Adolfo Marques shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vasco Amaro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Barrenta FC reached it. Francisco Assunçãos short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Albertino Pires to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Afonso Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Burguete's goalkeeper Vasco Amaro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Burguete's Sérgio Resende got a free kick in the 29th minute. After 30 played minutes Burguete got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Resende. With a little luck, Barrenta FC's Albertino Pires got control of the ball when Francisco Assunção tried to sneak it across the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Abel Gonçalves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barrenta FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Burguete the free kick. In the 37th minute, Abel Gonçalves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Burguete's Vasco Amaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Azevedo in the 40th minute of play. Francisco Assunção could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Albertino Pires made a huge save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diamantino Amaro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Albertino Pires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Assunção in the 52nd minute of the match. Diamantino Amaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 60 minutes into the match, Burguete's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Azevedo came free, but Vasco Amaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Burguete's Francisco Assunção got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomás Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Vasco Amaro made a huge save. After 68 minutes, Vasco Esteves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Burguete and the Barrenta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 68 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Burguete! The goalkeeper, Vasco Amaro, was totally fooled by Barrenta FC's Adolfo Marques, who 70 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diamantino Amaro in the 73rd minute of play forced Barrenta FC's goalkeeper Albertino Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardo Guerreiro during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 74th match minute, Barrenta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Guerreiro to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in Barrenta FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Diamantino Amaro in the 84th minute of play forced Barrenta FC's goalkeeper Albertino Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute, Francisco Assunção got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Barrenta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Assunção came free, but Albertino Pires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 98 played minutes Barrenta FC got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Guerreiro. In the 99th minute Diamantino Amaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albertino Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 101st minute, Diamantino Amaro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Burguete fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
