Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Chairos's Afonso Abreu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Anjos in the 3rd minute of play forced SC Chairos's goalkeeper Vasco Gonçalves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Montouro FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Bernardo Rocha hit a great ball. Alexandre Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 8th match minute, Montouro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emílio Aleixo to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Silva during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. João Silva hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Afonso Ferreira might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vasco Gonçalves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Afonso Ferreira ran back to his position shaking his head. 0-1 became the score in the 16th minute when Gonçalo Anjos elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Vasco Gonçalves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Ferreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Afonso Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Catarino Soares having to interfere. When Afonso Ferreira came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Montouro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afonso Ferreira couldn't finish the play. The SC Chairos fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when SC Chairos's Alexandre Cruz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gonçalo Anjos to make the kick off. Vasco Gonçalves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afonso Ferreira in the 56th minute. 63 minutes into the match, Afonso Abreu notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Montouro FC's Catarino Soares. Catarino Soares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Montouro FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Afonso Ferreira hit a great ball. Emílio Aleixo kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Alexandre Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Catarino Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If João Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute.
