Armando Pereira hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. 7 minutes into the match, SC Creixomil's goalkeeper Américo Vale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rui Gaspar. 9 minutes into the match, SC Creixomil's Armando Pereira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hélder Correia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rui Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rui Baptista's late challenge caught a SC Pintainhos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rui Baptista helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SC Creixomil getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Rui Baptista hit a great ball. Rui Gaspar succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 14th playminute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Sousa in the 19th minute of play forced SC Pintainhos's goalkeeper Hélder Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hélder Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Pinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Augusto Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Pinho struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Américo Vale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Pintainhos. Augusto Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hélder Correia having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sérgio Pedroso during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sérgio Pedroso kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. When Armando Pereira came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the SC Creixomil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando Pereira couldn't finish the play. If Augusto Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Armando Pereira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hélder Correia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Artur Faria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 45 minutes, José Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Pintainhos's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Pinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Armando Pereira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Armando Pereira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hélder Correia. The goal made the score 1-1. Augusto Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hélder Correia having to interfere. SC Pintainhos's Sérgio Pedroso got his second yellow card of the match in the 59th minute. The referee ordered Sérgio Pedroso off the ground. Sérgio Pedroso hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. When Augusto Sousa came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the SC Creixomil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto Sousa couldn't finish the play. SC Pintainhos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Armando Pereira scored to the left of an out of position Hélder Correia, making the score, 1-2. The supporters of SC Pintainhos booed when SC Creixomil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armindo Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaspar Guarda, 76 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Augusto Sousa could shoot a difficult shot in the 80th minute, which Hélder Correia however easily saved by the left post. Hélder Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. The supporters of SC Creixomil booed when SC Pintainhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rui Gaspar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 86 played minutes SC Creixomil got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Gaspar. After recieving a nice pass, SC Pintainhos's Gaspar Guarda tried to score from far away in the 87th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Rui Gaspar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Pintainhos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. If Armando Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
