The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sérgio Valente showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Albertino Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, SC Landedo's Vasco Andrade got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 22nd minute, João Borges sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SC Landedo's Sérgio Valente didn't even have to move. Amadeu Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Abreu having to interfere. Rui Delgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amadeu Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Abel Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After recieving a nice pass, SC Landedo's Gil Amaro tried to score from far away in the 34th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Rui Delgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amadeu Veiga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abel Abreu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amadeu Veiga got free with Abel Abreu in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 46th minute, Rui Delgado fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Rui Delgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Abreu having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 54th minute, Albertino Cabral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. João Ferro was extremely unlucky when he, in the 58th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Amadeu Veiga came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the SC Landedo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amadeu Veiga couldn't finish the play. SC Landedo's Amadeu Veiga got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Albertino Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Valente having to interfere. Amadeu Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 72 minutes of play, SC Landedo's Rui Delgado made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abel Abreu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 77th minute, Rui Delgado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abel Abreu was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Ferro in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sérgio Valente prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Abel Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Delgado in the 88th minute of play. Abel Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeu Veiga in the 96th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SC Landedo had won after a very even match.
