Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Fernandaires's Viriato Leão started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. José Pacheco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Melo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. José Pacheco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daniel Melo having to make a save. The supporters of Montes FC booed when Fernandaires was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Américo Jesus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Montes FC's Viriato Gaspar got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 10 minutes into the match, Fernandaires's goal looked a bit too open when José Pacheco came free, but Daniel Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Fernandaires getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Américo Jesus hit a great ball. José Pacheco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Daniel Melo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Pacheco in the 14th minute of play. Viriato Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Viriato Gaspar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Melo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Fernandaires's Daniel Melo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Fernandaires from getting a goal against them. Viriato Gaspar was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 30th minute. Montes FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Viriato Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jorge Dias blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without António Nascimento having to make a save. Viriato Leão scored 0-1 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of António Nascimento, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Fernandaires's zone, José Pacheco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Melo came out of the goal and José Pacheco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rui Paiva hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Daniel Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Pacheco in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Lucas Leão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If José Pacheco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Pacheco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jorge Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg António Nascimento managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Fernandaires's Jorge Dias fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. António Nascimento made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorge Dias in the 64th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vítor Gonçalves during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Viriato Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Nascimento having to interfere. After 74 played minutes Fernandaires got a freekick which was hit by António Vieira. Montes FC's Alexandre Gaspar got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Viriato Gaspar struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Daniel Melo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montes FC. António Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Leão, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Viriato Leão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Viriato Gaspar took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Melo. Daniel Melo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Vítor Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
