Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Carlos Cabral started the match with the kick off. Pedro Carneiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Palmela FC! The referee gave SC Arrabis a penalty, 11 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Pedro Veiga, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Palmela FC's Heitor Torres. 0-1. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Manuel Gaspar put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Heitor Torres. Manuel Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Arrabis's Manuel Gaspar got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 26th minute, Fernando Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Humberto Mendes from long distance, 27 minutes into the match, got Joel Gomes's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Catarino Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Joel Gomes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Carneiro went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 35 minutes into the match, SC Arrabis's goal looked a bit too open when António Lopes came free, but Joel Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. António Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Joel Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and António Lopes made a kick off. The supporters of Palmela FC booed when SC Arrabis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albertino Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Carneiro struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Joel Gomes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palmela FC. When Carlos Cabral came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the SC Arrabis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Cabral couldn't finish the play. After 66 played minutes Palmela FC got a freekick which was hit by André Simões. 67 minutes into the match, Palmela FC's goalkeeper Heitor Torres had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Veiga. António Lopes succeeded in the game's 69th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. If António Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Domingues hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. If Manuel Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Cabral struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Heitor Torres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Heitor Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Cabral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute, Ricardo Domingues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
