Raul Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Henrique Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Santarém, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 15th match minute, Noselos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duarte Costa to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Noselos FC's goalkeeper Henrique Dias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Machado hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute, Inácio Domingues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 25th minute Humberto Santarém shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrique Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Humberto Santarém sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Inácio Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diamantino Leal in the 33rd minute of the match. Inácio Domingues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Humberto Santarém's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henrique Dias was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Humberto Santarém stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Diamantino Leal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Costa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After some careless play in the Noselos FC defense, Inácio Domingues kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Henrique Dias. The Noselos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henrique Dias should have stopped the shot. Raul Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Pedro Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diamantino Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diamantino Leal struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Pedro Costa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Noselos FC. In the 78th minute, Alexandre Leão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Portejoes's Amadeu Nascimento got a free kick in the 80th minute. Raul Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Costa having to interfere. Pedro Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diamantino Leal in the 83rd minute of play. After having played for 89 minutes, Diamantino Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Noselos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diamantino Leal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Portejoes's zone, Raul Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Costa came out of the goal and Raul Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Noselos FC's Henrique Dias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Noselos FC from getting a goal against them. Raul Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Pedro Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Portejoes eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
