Santorum FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Nogueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vasco Domingues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Nogueira in the 13th minute of play. Nuno Leite took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vasco Domingues. Funcheira's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 21st minute, Luís Miranda fired away a shot on goal. The tension between the Santorum FC and the Funcheira players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Carlos Campos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Viriato Valente hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. A long shot from Pedro Faro in the 26th minute of play was well struck, but Pedro Oliveira made a really good save at the right post. The Funcheira fans cheered their team off the field, for while Santorum FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
