If Jaime Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 20th match minute, Leirosa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Aleixo to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Vítor Fonseca took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Lourenço Setúbal to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Leirosa FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. José Brito hit a great ball. Abel Assis's late challenge caught a Barril FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abel Assis helped the player get up and apologised. Delfim Fontes placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Lourenço Setúbal was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jaime Nunes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 36 minute of play. Jaime Nunes succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 41st playminute. Vítor Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lourenço Setúbal having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

After having played for 54 minutes, Jaime Nunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barril FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Nunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vítor Fonseca struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Lourenço Setúbal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barril FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Nunes in the 58th minute of play forced Leirosa FC's goalkeeper Lourenço Setúbal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Leirosa FC's zone, Cândido Carneiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lourenço Setúbal came out of the goal and Cândido Carneiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jaime Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Lourenço Setúbal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lourenço Setúbal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Bruno Antunes took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquim Assis. Joaquim Assis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Lourenço Setúbal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Fonseca in the 76th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Fonseca in the 77th minute of play forced Leirosa FC's goalkeeper Lourenço Setúbal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
