Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Manuel Viana started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Fontes during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Abel Nascimento hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the game, Orvalhos's Manuel Viana nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vasco Domingues made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Coelho in the 22nd minute of play forced SC Avenida's goalkeeper Vasco Domingues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vasco Domingues came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Orvalhos's Manuel Viana. But to his dismay, Manuel Viana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Manuel Viana struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Vasco Domingues didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Orvalhos. Vasco Domingues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Orvalhos's Alfredo Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Reis in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Armando Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute, Bruno Carneiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 47 minutes, António Miranda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Orvalhos and the SC Avenida players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Orvalhos getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. António Miranda hit a great ball.

Armando Luz hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Manuel Viana might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vasco Domingues. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manuel Viana ran back to his position shaking his head. SC Avenida's Delfim Branco got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfredo Rodrigues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Reis in the 64th minute of the match. In the 70th minute Manuel Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vasco Domingues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Ricardo Coelho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Orvalhos's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo Coelho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vasco Domingues breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manuel Viana might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vasco Domingues. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manuel Viana ran back to his position shaking his head. After 90 minutes of play, Orvalhos's Ricardo Coelho made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vasco Domingues was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 97th minute, Joel Reis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfredo Rodrigues was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. The SC Avenida supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Orvalhos's performance. The match ended with a win for Orvalhos.
