Rui Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rui Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonçalo Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute Álvaro Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to SC Junqueira getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Manuel Ramos hit a great ball. 19 minutes into the match, Álvaro Pires had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquim Almeida. SC Junqueira's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Álvaro Pires was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Hugo Porto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Valezim FC's Daniel Assis got a free kick in the 29th minute. Gonçalo Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Amadeu Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Almeida having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Álvaro Pires left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Valezim FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. A collision led to SC Junqueira getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Carlos Branco hit a great ball. SC Junqueira's Joaquim Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álvaro Pires in the 44th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Álvaro Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valezim FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Álvaro Pires was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquim Almeida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The SC Junqueira players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Valezim FC were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Álvaro Pires stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Álvaro Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Almeida having to interfere. When Álvaro Pires came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Valezim FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Álvaro Pires couldn't finish the play. When Filipe Coimbra fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Junqueira's protests and gave Filipe Coimbra a yellow card for diving instead. In the 60th match minute, SC Junqueira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filipe Coimbra to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Valezim FC's Luís Mota tried to score from far away in the 61st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 66th minute, Hugo Porto made a precise shot to the right of Rui Pinho. Valezim FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After 76 played minutes SC Junqueira got a freekick which was hit by Filipe Coimbra. Rui Pinho came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by SC Junqueira's Gonçalo Fontes. But to his dismay, Gonçalo Fontes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Amadeu Pires succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-3 in the 85th playminute. After having played for 89 minutes, Álvaro Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valezim FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Álvaro Pires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Manuel Ramos fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Junqueira's protests and gave Manuel Ramos a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Valezim FC booed when SC Junqueira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hugo Porto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rui Pinho having to make a save. 96 minutes into the game, Gonçalo Fontes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Rui Pinho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
