The wind increased when Afonso Borba made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Nogueiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastião Lima to maneuver through the defense. After 54 played minutes, Roucio's Joaquim Tavares shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sérgio Domingues came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Borba in the 61st minute of play forced Nogueiro's goalkeeper Sérgio Domingues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Nogueiro getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Cristóvão Dias hit a great ball. The supporters of Nogueiro booed when Roucio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roucio's Jacinto Barros got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sérgio Domingues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Magalhães, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Sérgio Domingues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Magalhães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 86 minutes, Eusébio Magalhães managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Roucio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusébio Magalhães was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nogueiro's Sérgio Domingues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Borba in the 88th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Afonso Borba made a precise shot to the right of Sérgio Domingues. Nogueiro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Eusébio Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Domingues having to interfere. Nogueiro's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
