With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adolfo Branco in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Carvalho saved SC Mogoito from getting behind. In the 31st minute Adolfo Branco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 34 minutes, Ricardo Figueiredo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Mogoito and the Santarem players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Santarem booed when SC Mogoito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Figueiredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th match minute, Santarem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adolfo Matos to maneuver through the defense. In the 49th minute, Domingos Miranda made a precise shot to the right of Fábio Antunes. Santarem's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amadeu Paiva to make the kick off. After having played for 73 minutes, Domingos Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Mogoito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingos Miranda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amadeu Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amadeu Paiva struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Fábio Antunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Mogoito. If Domingos Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Domingos Miranda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fábio Antunes having to make a save. Lucas Mota charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lucas Mota the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Santarem getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Lucas Mota hit a great ball. When SC Mogoito's Domingos Miranda, in the 91st minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for SC Mogoito. If Amadeu Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, SC Mogoito's Domingos Miranda got a free kick in the 95th minute. In the 98th minute, Adolfo Branco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
