If Catarino Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pedro Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adolfo Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Paiva in the 43rd minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Catarino Mota made a kick off. When Pedro Queirós fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Eiravade's protests and gave Pedro Queirós a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th match minute, SC Eiravade was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Queirós to maneuver through the defense. Miguel Oliveira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 66th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rui Borges. SC Eiravade's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
