Marruas's Cristiano Gaspar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Marruas from getting a goal against them. After 43 minutes of play Marruas's Duarte Gonçalves was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 44 played minutes Marruas got a freekick which was hit by Duarte Gonçalves. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

David Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Gaspar having to interfere. After some careless play in the Marruas defense, David Rocha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristiano Gaspar. The Marruas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristiano Gaspar should have stopped the shot. Cristiano Gaspar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cândido Cunha in the 61st minute of the match. When Cândido Cunha came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the SC Linharelhos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cândido Cunha couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Marruas getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Duarte Mendes hit a great ball. Cândido Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Gaspar having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Rocha in the 81st minute of play forced Marruas's goalkeeper Cristiano Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristiano Gaspar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cândido Cunha in the 86th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Marruas's zone, David Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristiano Gaspar came out of the goal and David Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 90 minutes, Artur Setúbal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marruas and the SC Linharelhos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Artur Setúbal hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. SC Linharelhos's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
