The supporters of SC Tinocos booed when Ribolhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Luz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manuel Domingues might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amílcar Monteiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manuel Domingues ran back to his position shaking his head. If Jacinto Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half.
