Catem's Carlos Trindade proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Catem from getting a goal against them. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlos Santarém made a kick off. After recieving a nice pass, Catem's Pedro Gonçalves tried to score from far away in the 55th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Carlos Santarém scored 2-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carlos Trindade, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Paulo Moreira's late challenge caught a SC Estoril's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Moreira helped the player get up and apologised. In the 91st minute, Paulo Moreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If José Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Estoril were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Catem for a fine match.
