An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Assunção in the 5th minute of play forced Beleco's goalkeeper Cláudio Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francisco Reis during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Francisco Reis kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Cristóvão Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 13 played minutes Alfaquiques FC got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Vale. Afonso Brito struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Cláudio Nascimento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alfaquiques FC. Afonso Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Nascimento having to interfere. If Cristóvão Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute, Francisco Reis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Dantas in the 41st minute of play forced Alfaquiques FC's goalkeeper Tomás Valente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 45 played minutes Beleco got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Neto. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Paulo Assunção made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Beleco's Hugo Faro got a free kick in the 51st minute. The attack was good, but when Afonso Brito in the 61st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After some careless play in the Beleco defense, Afonso Brito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cláudio Nascimento. The Beleco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cláudio Nascimento should have stopped the shot. In the 66th minute Afonso Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cláudio Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Alberto Gomes fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Beleco's protests and gave Alberto Gomes a yellow card for diving instead. Alberto Gomes hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Assunção in the 70th minute of play forced Beleco's goalkeeper Cláudio Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute Cristóvão Paiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Valente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the last second Tomás Valente throw himself and got hold of the ball when Cristóvão Paiva in the 76thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After having played for 78 minutes, Afonso Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alfaquiques FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afonso Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Cristóvão Paiva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomás Valente was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. 89 minutes into the match, Alfaquiques FC's goalkeeper Tomás Valente had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Dantas.
