Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mário Mendes started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Catraia booed when Bouceiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Assunção didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eusébio Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Coimbra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Inácio Coimbra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mário Mendes in the 11th minute of play. Rafael Pedroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Andrade having to interfere. Rafael Pedroso who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Eusébio Andrade when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 14th minute, Francisco Assunção hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rafael Pedroso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Eusébio Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bouceiro FC's Eusébio Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Coimbra in the 23rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristiano Coimbra in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eusébio Andrade prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 26th minute Mário Mendes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inácio Coimbra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Cristiano Coimbra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catraia's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristiano Coimbra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eusébio Andrade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eusébio Andrade came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Catraia's Rafael Pedroso. But to his dismay, Rafael Pedroso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Mário Mendes struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Inácio Coimbra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bouceiro FC. In the 37th minute, Vasco Campos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jorge Henriques was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 39th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Mendes in the 41st minute of play forced Catraia's goalkeeper Inácio Coimbra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francisco Assunção during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 43rd match minute, Bouceiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Assunção to maneuver through the defense. Vasco Campos kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Catraia's zone, Mário Mendes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inácio Coimbra came out of the goal and Mário Mendes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristiano Coimbra to strike the kick off in the second half. Jorge Henriques hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After 61 played minutes, Catraia's António Pereira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eusébio Andrade came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Catraia reached it. Cristiano Coimbra struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Sérgio Dias charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sérgio Dias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Bouceiro FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Sérgio Dias hit a great ball. António Pereira, 72 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Rafael Pedroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Andrade having to interfere. Sérgio Dias struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Inácio Coimbra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bouceiro FC. Bouceiro FC's Mário Mendes got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Albertino Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th match minute, Catraia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Catraia's Rui Almeida got a free kick in the 96th minute. Bouceiro FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
