After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Hugo Trindade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fatacos's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Trindade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Mota breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Hugo Trindade's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bruno Mota was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Afonso Cardoso in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Humberto Moutinho saved Fatacos from getting behind. If Fábio Leiria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Armindo Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruno Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Trindade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fábio Leiria stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rdth minute of the game Afonso Cardoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fatacos's Humberto Moutinho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Afonso Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Humberto Moutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Humberto Moutinho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lúcio Magalhães went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Almodofa's Bruno Mota proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Almodofa from getting a goal against them. Hugo Trindade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Mota having to interfere. Delfim Henriques's late challenge caught a Fatacos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Delfim Henriques helped the player get up and apologised. In the 71st minute, Almodofa's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Hugo Trindade fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 75th minute, one of Almodofa:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Almodofa. Humberto Moutinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lúcio Magalhães in the 81st minute of the match.
