Hélder Macedo started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Lúcio Guarda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sistais FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Hélder Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Viegas having to interfere. Viriato Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Sistais FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristiano Antunes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Rui Machado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristiano Antunes in the 24th minute. 27 minutes into the game, Sistais FC's Hélder Macedo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sérgio Viegas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Heitor Amaral's late challenge caught a Sistais FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Heitor Amaral helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th minute, Heitor Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nuno Torres missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 31 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Sérgio Viegas right hand side. The audience was convinced that Lúcio Guarda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sérgio Viegas was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Sérgio Viegas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio Guarda in the 37th minute of play. Miguel Mota's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rui Machado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. After 42 played minutes Sistais FC got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Coimbra. Rui Machado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Mota in the 44th minute of the match. Rui Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Mota in the 45th minute of play. Miguel Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Machado having to interfere. The Carragosela players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sistais FC were winning 1-2.

Luís Delgado kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Sistais FC's Rui Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Mota in the 55th minute of play. Cristiano Antunes scored 2-2 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rui Machado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the last second Sérgio Viegas throw himself and got hold of the ball when Hélder Macedo in the 67thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 69th minute Cristiano Antunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Machado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Sistais FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Tiago Neves hit a great ball. Cristiano Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Machado having to interfere. Hélder Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carragosela's Sérgio Viegas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Carragosela from getting a goal against them. Lúcio Guarda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 85th minute of the game. One of Sistais FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Carragosela:s goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hélder Macedo in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sérgio Viegas saved Carragosela from getting behind. If Cristiano Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Sistais FC's zone, Jaime Amaro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rui Machado came out of the goal and Jaime Amaro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carragosela's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
