Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Miguel Mota started the match with the kick off. After 4 minutes of play, SC Alpalhao's Afonso Nascimento made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sérgio Viegas was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 10th minute, Afonso Nascimento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Cunha in the 13th minute of play forced Carragosela's goalkeeper Sérgio Viegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristiano Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Monteiro having to interfere. Joaquim Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Mota, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vicente Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sérgio Viegas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afonso Nascimento in the 25th minute. After a rather tough play, Carragosela's Vítor Vale got a free kick in the 30th minute. If Cristiano Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute David Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Viegas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Afonso Nascimento struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Sérgio Viegas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Alpalhao. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Cunha to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Viriato Gomes got free with Joaquim Monteiro in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 55 minutes, Miguel Mota managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carragosela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Mota was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristiano Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Joaquim Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Carragosela getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Luís Delgado hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute Afonso Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Viegas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Afonso Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, SC Alpalhao's Joaquim Sá got a free kick in the 70th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Cristiano Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carragosela's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristiano Antunes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquim Monteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joaquim Sá hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Miguel Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Joaquim Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 97thth minute of the game Afonso Nascimento who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carragosela's Sérgio Viegas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Carragosela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SC Alpalhao.
