The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If António Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the game, SC Magdalena's Álvaro Paredes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emílio Neto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Pedro Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Daniel Campos got in the 23rd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Emílio Neto handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After 26 minutes, Hugo Vieira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Magdalena and the Engal players grew even worse after the yellow card. Engal were furious when Manuel Fontes was red carded, 37 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Engal fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 37th minute. Penalty! In the 39th minute there was a penalty for SC Magdalena. Gaspar Cardoso stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Emílio Neto. 0-3. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when António Oliveira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Engal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Leite to maneuver through the defense. Álvaro Paredes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Emílio Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that António Oliveira couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute, Oliveira Luz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Álvaro Paredes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Emílio Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Daniel Campos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the match, Engal's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Campos came free, but Emílio Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emílio Neto made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Álvaro Paredes sent off a good shot on target. 94 minutes into the game, Engal's António Oliveira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tomás Valente made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. The Engal supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SC Magdalena's performance. The match ended with a win for SC Magdalena.
