After a defensive mix-up in SC Arrepiado's zone, Cristóvão Aleixo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hélder Neves came out of the goal and Cristóvão Aleixo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hélder Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóvão Aleixo in the 11th minute of play. Cristóvão Aleixo succeeded in the game's 12th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Hélder Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóvão Aleixo in the 20th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Paulo Dias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th minute Jaime Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hélder Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristóvão Aleixo, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. SC Arrepiado's Hélder Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristóvão Domingues in the 48th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jaime Araújo to strike the kick off in the second half. Paulo Maia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulo Dias went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Cristóvão Domingues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hélder Neves having to interfere. Cristóvão Aleixo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Hélder Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute Cristóvão Aleixo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélder Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hélder Neves came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Gozende FC's Cristóvão Domingues. But to his dismay, Cristóvão Domingues quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Paulo Dias hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Jaime Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jaime Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gozende FC's goalkeeper Paulo Maia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 98th minute, Jaime Araújo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Arrepiado fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Gozende FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SC Arrepiado.
