SC Tinocos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 13 minutes into the game, Heitor Cruz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Tinocos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Formigais the free kick. Eduardo Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eduardo Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino Pinheiro having to interfere. In the 25th minute of the match André Moura sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adelino Pinheiro skillfully saved the ball. If Catarino Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 27 played minutes SC Formigais got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Pires. Hugo Bessa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernardo Torres's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Hugo Bessa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Torres in the 79th minute of play forced SC Formigais's goalkeeper Hugo Bessa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Faro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hugo Bessa. SC Formigais's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Bernardo Torres came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the SC Tinocos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardo Torres couldn't finish the play. The SC Tinocos supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SC Formigais's performance. The match ended with a win for SC Formigais.
