Jorge Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 22 played minutes Montouro FC got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Mendes. Eusébio Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Cristiano Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Eusébio Cardoso came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Vinhas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusébio Cardoso couldn't finish the play. Jorge Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristóvão Trindade having to interfere. 33 minutes into the game, Júlio Ferreira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vinhas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montouro FC the free kick. Júlio Ferreira hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute Jorge Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristóvão Trindade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Mota stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eusébio Cardoso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristiano Sousa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, Jaime Vaz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Vinhas supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Montouro FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Montouro FC.
