Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cristóvão Matos took the kick off in the first half of the match. Tiago Nunes charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiago Nunes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SC Valhascos getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Tiago Nunes hit a great ball. Tiago Nunes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Gustavo Cruz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Cristóvão Matos came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Canhoes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristóvão Matos couldn't finish the play. Canhoes FC's Gustavo Cruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Setúbal in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute Afonso Setúbal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustavo Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Setúbal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristóvão Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Azevedo having to interfere. Canhoes FC's Gustavo Cruz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Canhoes FC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 27 minutes, Tiago Nunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Valhascos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiago Nunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Canhoes FC's Gustavo Cruz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Canhoes FC from getting a goal against them. Canhoes FC's Gustavo Cruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Setúbal in the 30th minute of play. Tiago Nunes scored 1-0 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustavo Cruz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 36th minute of the match Domingos Pires sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Filipe Azevedo skillfully saved the ball. Cristóvão Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Filipe Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd match minute, Canhoes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Viana to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Afonso Setúbal in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustavo Cruz saved Canhoes FC from getting behind. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

55 minutes into the match, Canhoes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Setúbal came free, but Gustavo Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 57 minutes of play, SC Valhascos's Afonso Setúbal made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gustavo Cruz was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Cristóvão Matos came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Canhoes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristóvão Matos couldn't finish the play. Gustavo Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Nunes in the 62nd minute of play. Gustavo Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiago Nunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Canhoes FC's Gustavo Cruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Setúbal in the 70th minute of play. The supporters of Canhoes FC booed when SC Valhascos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristóvão Matos scored 2-1 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Filipe Azevedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Artur Campos fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canhoes FC's protests and gave Artur Campos a yellow card for diving instead. After 79 played minutes Canhoes FC got a freekick which was hit by Artur Campos. Tiago Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Gustavo Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Basílio Marques's late challenge caught a Canhoes FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Basílio Marques helped the player get up and apologised. Basílio Marques hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. 89 minutes into the game, Cláudio Leal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Valhascos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Canhoes FC the free kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Canhoes FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SC Valhascos.
