Artur Leal took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emílio Pinto. Emílio Pinto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bento Leão in the 29th minute of play forced Brejos FC's goalkeeper Cândido Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Fernando Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Daniel Coelho fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brejos FC's protests and gave Daniel Coelho a yellow card for diving instead. If André Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. With a left leg Emílio Pinto saved SC Tabua from getting behind. Alexandre Faro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 60th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Emílio Pinto. SC Tabua's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. André Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Emílio Pinto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cândido Gaspar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Brejos FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
