Carlos Campos kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. In the 5th minute Aparecida were awarded a corner. João Viegas went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that João Viegas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Paulo Moreira quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. José Guarda scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paulo Moreira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Paulo Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Correia, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Sérgio Nunes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Manuel Resende came out and tried to block the shot, but Sérgio Nunes slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 15th minute. Manuel Resende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sérgio Nunes in the 19th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Aparecida's goalkeeper Manuel Resende had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaspar Amorim. José Guarda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Paulo Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 29 played minutes Gosende FC got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Moreira. 36 minutes into the game, Gosende FC's Gaspar Amorim nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manuel Resende made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The supporters of Aparecida booed when Gosende FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sérgio Nunes made a kick off. The supporters of Gosende FC booed when Aparecida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manuel Resende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaspar Amorim in the 58th minute of play. When Mário Assis fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aparecida's protests and gave Mário Assis a yellow card for diving instead. Sérgio Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute, Emílio Moreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If José Guarda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fábio Lisboa charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fábio Lisboa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fábio Lisboa hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Manuel Resende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sérgio Nunes in the 78th minute of play. Gabriel Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Moreira having to interfere. Sérgio Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Aparecida's zone, Gaspar Amorim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Resende came out of the goal and Gaspar Amorim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Gaspar Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, Mário Assis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Gosende FC's Mariano Viegas got a free kick in the 95th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Gosende FC's zone, Fábio Lisboa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Moreira came out of the goal and Fábio Lisboa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aparecida's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
