In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Acafora's goalkeeper Nuno Assunção, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Duarte Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, SC Acafora's Nuno Assunção got control of the ball when Paulo Abreu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Paulo Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armando Morais might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nuno Assunção. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Freiras FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Abreu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno Assunção breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Duarte Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from António Pinheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. If Paulo Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After recieving a nice pass, Freiras FC's Alfredo Ramos tried to score from far away in the 55th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Nuno Assunção made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Morais in the 64th minute of play. If Armando Morais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Paulo Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Nuno Assunção tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Paulo Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute.
