Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when João Costa kicked off to start the match. After 2 played minutes SC Areja got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Rocha. Alfredo Ramos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 3rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for André Macedo. SC Areja's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Armando Morais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 9 minutes into the match, Paulo Abreu notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of SC Areja's André Macedo. André Macedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 15 minutes into the game, Oliveira Porto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Areja's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Freiras FC the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 15th minute of the game. One of SC Areja:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Freiras FC:s goal. The referee gave Freiras FC a penalty, 16 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Alfredo Ramos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SC Areja's André Macedo. 0-2. Duarte Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Costa in the 19th minute of the match. André Macedo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulo Abreu went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Sebastião Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duarte Moreira having to interfere. Freiras FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when João Costa 33 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. After 38 played minutes Freiras FC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Ramos. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Albertino Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Areja's supporters rose to their feet, but Albertino Viana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duarte Moreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. André Macedo came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Freiras FC's Paulo Abreu. But to his dismay, Paulo Abreu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. André Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

After having played for 57 minutes, Sebastião Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Areja's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastião Matos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Freiras FC's Duarte Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Costa in the 59th minute of play. Sebastião Matos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sebastião Matos struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Duarte Moreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Areja. In the 69th minute, Paulo Abreu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Armando Morais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Macedo having to interfere. Duarte Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Costa in the 73rd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Freiras FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastião Matos came free, but Duarte Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Abreu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of André Macedo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Freiras FC's Paulo Abreu got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. André Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Morais in the 90th minute of play. Armando Morais recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 95 minutes, Paulo Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Freiras FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Abreu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 97th minute Armando Morais shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Macedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Freiras FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
