Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bernardo Cruz started the match with the kick off. SC Espite's Jacinto Gueifão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Sá in the 3rd minute of play. Hugo Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Catarino Paiva having to interfere. Jacinto Gueifão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Sá in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Joaquim Mendes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Joaquim Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filipe Paredes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jacinto Gueifão. SC Espite's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to SC Espite getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Manuel Pinho hit a great ball. When Manuel Sá came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the SC Forneas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Sá couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Hugo Fontes made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquim Mendes in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Catarino Paiva saved SC Forneas from getting behind. After 55 played minutes SC Forneas got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Esteves. Catarino Paiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute Hugo Fontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Catarino Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eusébio Esteves's late challenge caught a SC Espite's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eusébio Esteves helped the player get up and apologised. In the 59th match minute, SC Forneas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusébio Esteves to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Mendes in the 62nd minute of play forced SC Forneas's goalkeeper Catarino Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute, Bruno Pacheco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the SC Forneas defense, Joaquim Mendes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Catarino Paiva. The SC Forneas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Catarino Paiva should have stopped the shot. In the 74th minute, Manuel Sá ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacinto Gueifão was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. A collision led to SC Espite getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Filipe Guerreiro hit a great ball. SC Forneas's Catarino Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Mendes in the 83rd minute of play. With a little luck, SC Espite's Jacinto Gueifão got control of the ball when Manuel Sá tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 92ndth minute of the game Hugo Fontes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Forneas's Catarino Paiva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Catarino Paiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Fontes in the 94th minute of play. After 97 played minutes SC Espite got a freekick which was hit by Heitor Azevedo. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
