If Sandro Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bassar FC's David Moniz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Bassar FC from getting a goal against them. António Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandro Simões in the 9th minute of play. If Sandro Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The supporters of Guedelhas FC booed when Bassar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Moniz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Setúbal, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Américo Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Moniz having to interfere. After 39 played minutes Guedelhas FC got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Vale. Américo Marques's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, David Moniz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in Bassar FC's zone, Adolfo Setúbal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Moniz came out of the goal and Adolfo Setúbal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adolfo Setúbal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sandro Simões stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Américo Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guedelhas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Américo Marques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adolfo Setúbal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 73 played minutes Bassar FC got a freekick which was hit by Rui Paredes. After a rather tough play, Guedelhas FC's Jorge Vale got a free kick in the 74th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Bassar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Américo Marques came free, but David Moniz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomás Ferreira hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Guedelhas FC's António Lopes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Paredes in the 88th minute of play. Júlio Assis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Lopes having to interfere. The Guedelhas FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Bassar FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Bassar FC.
