Tomás Ferro started the match with the kick off. Emanuel Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Ferro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Mogadouro FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The Mogadouro FC fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when Mogadouro FC's Emanuel Castro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Pedro Nascimento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emanuel Azevedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Mogadouro FC's goalkeeper Emanuel Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Nascimento. 25 minutes into the match, Amílcar Machado notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of SC Cabanita's Luís Antunes. Luís Antunes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 29th minute, Manuel Borba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Cabanita's Simão Dias couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 30th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Mogadouro FC. The supporters of SC Cabanita booed when Mogadouro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mário Luz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute, SC Cabanita's Tomás Ferro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Emanuel Azevedo. Emanuel Azevedo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Pedro Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The SC Cabanita players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mogadouro FC were winning 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emanuel Castro to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, SC Cabanita's Pedro Nascimento sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emanuel Azevedo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Manuel Borba charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manuel Borba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Pedro Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Cabanita's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Nascimento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
