Sanceriz FC's Alfredo Santarém played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Anjos in the 17th minute of play. Inácio Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Eusébio Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Viana having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 41st minute by Eusébio Barbosa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. One of Sanceriz FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Catasel FC:s goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gonçalo Neves to strike the kick off in the second half. António Anjos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Alfredo Santarém made a huge save. In the 73rd match minute, Sanceriz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonçalo Neves to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute Gonçalo Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Catasel FC's Tomás Viana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonçalo Neves in the 99th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
