Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Remelhe's Manuel Paredes got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sarzeda FC's Alfredo Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gil Cruz in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th minute Gil Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gil Cruz might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfredo Melo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gil Cruz ran back to his position shaking his head. After 23 minutes, Carlos Nascimento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sarzeda FC and the SC Remelhe players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 23 played minutes Sarzeda FC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Nascimento. If Amílcar Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Rui Leão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sarzeda FC's goalkeeper Alfredo Melo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Rui Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Afonso Almeida took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alfredo Melo. Sarzeda FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Basílio Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Ferro in the 45th minute of play. After having played for 46 minutes, Gil Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Remelhe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gil Cruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gil Cruz to strike the kick off in the second half. Vicente Ferro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sarzeda FC's goalkeeper Alfredo Melo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gil Cruz might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfredo Melo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gil Cruz ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Sarzeda FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Hugo Sousa hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardo Cardoso during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 64th minute, Ricardo Cardoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Basílio Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Óscar Carneiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gil Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Alfredo Melo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Sarzeda FC's zone, Rui Leão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Melo came out of the goal and Rui Leão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfredo Melo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gil Cruz in the 71st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gil Cruz in the 72nd minute of play forced Sarzeda FC's goalkeeper Alfredo Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Sarzeda FC's goalkeeper Alfredo Melo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rui Leão. Basílio Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Óscar Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. If Vicente Ferro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vicente Ferro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gil Cruz was extremely unlucky when he, in the 92nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a defensive mix-up in Sarzeda FC's zone, Gil Cruz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Melo came out of the goal and Gil Cruz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 96th minute, Óscar Carneiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Basílio Amaral was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Sarzeda FC had won after a very even match.
