Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Joaquim Veiga took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Espeses's zone, António Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Marques came out of the goal and António Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Joaquim Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 17 minutes, António Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Cano's supporters crossed their fingers, but António Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Afonso Fontes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Soares went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Mário Pacheco kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th minute of the match Paulo Assis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Afonso Fontes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Joaquim Veiga might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Marques. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joaquim Veiga ran back to his position shaking his head. Ricardo Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Veiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Eduardo Borba managed to get in a good position for a shot. Espeses's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduardo Borba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonso Fontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 44 minutes, Lúcio Barros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Cano and the Espeses players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 44th match minute, SC Cano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lúcio Barros to maneuver through the defense.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Soares to make the kick off. Henrique Pedroso charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Henrique Pedroso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, SC Cano's Henrique Pedroso got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 54th minute Espeses were awarded a corner. Paulo Assis went to the cornerflag to take it. Afonso Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Soares in the 57th minute of the match. Afonso Fontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Brás, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 60 played minutes SC Cano got a freekick which was hit by Sérgio Pinto. Afonso Fontes was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Paulo Assis. Espeses's Ricardo Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Brito in the 65th minute of play. Ricardo Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from António Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Espeses's goal looked a bit too open when Lúcio Barros came free, but Ricardo Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Brás got free with Afonso Fontes in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 87 minutes into the match, Espeses's Alberto Brás sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Afonso Fontes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Eduardo Borba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Veiga in the 91st minute of play forced Espeses's goalkeeper Ricardo Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When António Brito came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the SC Cano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that António Brito couldn't finish the play. SC Cano were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Espeses to leave the ground with a draw.
