Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Alvaredo FC's Paulo Veiga started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Luís Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vicente Fonseca, 7 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 11th minute, Alvaredo FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Luís Marques fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Hugo Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Moreira in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Paulo Veiga made a precise shot to the right of Hugo Castro. SC Rabal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. SC Rabal's Catarino Leiria got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, SC Rabal's Eduardo Viana threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luís Marques, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Rui Moreira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alvaredo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rui Moreira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugo Castro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 36th minute, Catarino Leiria ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eduardo Viana was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Catarino Leiria hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After having played for 47 minutes, Catarino Leiria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Rabal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Catarino Leiria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luís Marques to strike the kick off in the second half. Duarte Carneiro kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Catarino Leiria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
