If Artur Gueifão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Goulinho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Mesas the free kick. In the 90th minute there was a penalty for SC Mesas. Jorge Correia stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eusébio Pires. 0-2. The audience was convinced that Artur Gueifão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alberto Matias was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. Artur Gueifão struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Alberto Matias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goulinho.
