Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Paulo Brás made the kick off which started today's match. 4 minutes into the match, Marinheiros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Pacheco came free, but Gabriel Trindade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute, one of Marinheiros FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Marinheiros FC. Marinheiros FC:s Gabriel Trindade showed great skill when he stopped Jorge Correia:s penalty. After a rather tough play, SC Mesas's Sebastião Baptista got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute of the match André Lopes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alberto Matias showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, SC Mesas's Jorge Correia got a free kick in the 16th minute. Sebastião Baptista kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Alberto Matias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Brás, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulo Brás in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alberto Matias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alberto Matias stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joaquim Pinheiro's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Gabriel Trindade made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Diogo Abreu sent off a good shot on target. 36 minutes into the game, Marinheiros FC's Joaquim Pinheiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alberto Matias made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Fernando Pacheco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Marinheiros FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Tiago Carneiro hit a great ball. Gabriel Trindade had great luck who in the 48thth minute grab hold of the ball when Fernando Pacheco from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernando Pacheco made a kick off. Sebastião Baptista hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 57 minutes Marinheiros FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jorge Correia who took care of the corner kick. In the 60th minute, Paulo Brás hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gabriel Trindade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Pacheco, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Marinheiros FC's Gabriel Trindade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diogo Abreu in the 70th minute of play. After having played for 72 minutes, Diogo Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Mesas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diogo Abreu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joaquim Pinheiro struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Alberto Matias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marinheiros FC. Paulo Brás recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 86th match minute, SC Mesas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastião Baptista to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in SC Mesas's zone, Paulo Brás stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Matias came out of the goal and Paulo Brás tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Marinheiros FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Marinheiros FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
