Viriato Bessa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Pires having to interfere. In the 8th match minute, SC Tozeiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Neves to maneuver through the defense. Sérgio Oliveira succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 16th playminute. The long shot by Lourenço Alves in the 19th minute really tested Filipe Pires's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 27th minute, André Setúbal made a precise shot to the right of Nuno Baptista. SC Tozeiro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Lourenço Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute of the match Sebastião Azevedo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nuno Baptista showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When André Setúbal came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Sameiro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Setúbal couldn't finish the play. In the 46th minute Lourenço Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

52 minutes into the match, Sameiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when David Melo came free, but Filipe Pires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Filipe Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nuno Baptista was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Lourenço Abreu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lourenço Abreu really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. When André Setúbal came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Sameiro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Setúbal couldn't finish the play. Nuno Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lourenço Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulo Dias kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 86th minute by André Setúbal got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 89 minutes into the game, David Melo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Tozeiro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sameiro FC the free kick. If André Setúbal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute Lourenço Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sameiro FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
