Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Viriato Bessa in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. David Melo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but André Nogueira made a huge save. Nuno Baptista stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernando Queirós's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Melo couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nuno Rodrigues to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Queirós got free with Nuno Baptista in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Tozeiro's goalkeeper Nuno Baptista, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
