Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sebastião Resende started the match with the kick off. If Pedro Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the game, Óscar Pacheco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cruzal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Maios the free kick. After 14 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cruzal! The referee gave SC Maios a penalty, 16 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sérgio Pinto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Cruzal's Sebastião Cunha. 1-0. After 18 played minutes SC Maios got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Cabral. When Pedro Figueiredo came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the SC Maios fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Figueiredo couldn't finish the play. 23 minutes into the match, Cruzal's goal looked a bit too open when Henrique Dias came free, but Sebastião Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute, Basílio Mota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Figueiredo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 29 minutes, Alfredo Brás mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cruzal and the SC Maios players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Jorge Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastião Resende struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Ricardo Resende didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cruzal. 39 minutes into the match, SC Maios's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Borges came free, but Ricardo Resende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Sebastião Resende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastião Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrique Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

After a rather tough play, Cruzal's Alfredo Brás got a free kick in the 51st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Henrique Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Maios's supporters rose to their feet, but Henrique Dias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastião Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. During the 54th minute of the match Alfredo Brás completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Alfredo Brás a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 54th minute, one of Cruzal:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cruzal. The referee gave SC Maios a penalty, 56 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sérgio Pinto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Cruzal's Sebastião Cunha. 2-0. 61 minutes into the match, SC Maios's Henrique Dias sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sebastião Cunha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 66 minutes into the match, Álvaro Gaspar notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Cruzal's Sebastião Cunha. Sebastião Cunha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ricardo Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Henrique Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Maios's Ricardo Resende proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save SC Maios from getting a goal against them. In the 82nd minute, Henrique Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustavo Leão took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sebastião Cunha. Cruzal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sebastião Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Figueiredo in the 98th minute of the match. Cruzal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
