The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute, Joel Faro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jorge Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Figueiredo having to interfere. Rogério Gueifão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th match minute, Bolavo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viriato Miranda to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Rogério Gueifão took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Lourenço Matos to make any attempt to save it. Pedro Fontes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lourenço Matos. Bolavo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Emanuel Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lourenço Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogério Gueifão in the 24th minute of play. Emanuel Machado was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 27th minute. Ebora's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 33 played minutes Ebora got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Borba. Cristóvão Garcia kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Silva in the 39th minute of play forced Ebora's goalkeeper Ricardo Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardo Figueiredo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jorge Silva went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jorge Silva to make the kick off. Emanuel Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Lourenço Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo Figueiredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Silva in the 62nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ebora's Gabriel Borba got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 72nd minute of the match Vasco Ferreira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardo Figueiredo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Américo Veiga struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Lourenço Matos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ebora. In the 98th match minute, Ebora was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Américo Veiga to maneuver through the defense. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
