The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vítor Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Carvalho having to interfere. Cristóvão Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Leão having to interfere. In the 27th minute Pedro Pedroso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Reis's late challenge caught a Tremes FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Reis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th minute, Pedro Reis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nuno Leão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristóvão Reis's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Simão Pacheco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eduardo Carvalho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Pedro Pedroso notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Venade's Nuno Leão. Nuno Leão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Pedro Pedroso made the kick off in the second half. Simão Pacheco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
