A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 15th minute Jorge Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Lucas Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Freitas came free with the goalkeeper in the 22nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tiago Coelho could save by the left post. When Rui Aleixo fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peneda's protests and gave Rui Aleixo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Peneda getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Rui Aleixo hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Oliveira in the 27th minute of play forced Peneda's goalkeeper Lucas Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, Peneda's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Cunha came free, but Lucas Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Peneda's goal looked a bit too open when Duarte Vieira came free, but Lucas Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Duarte Vieira charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Duarte Vieira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Manuel Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Peneda getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Mariano Baptista hit a great ball. Lucas Azevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manuel Oliveira's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Manuel Oliveira struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Lucas Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Loule. In the 72nd minute, José Freitas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 75 played minutes SC Loule got a freekick which was hit by Raul Paiva. Peneda's Lucas Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Oliveira in the 81st minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Peneda's goalkeeper Lucas Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorge Cunha. Mariano Baptista's late challenge caught a SC Loule's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mariano Baptista helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Peneda getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Mariano Baptista hit a great ball. In the 97th minute, Manuel Oliveira fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Lucas Azevedo, passed just outside the right post. For all the effort they put into the match, the SC Loule players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Peneda.
