With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miguel Correia in the 2nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adolfo Carneiro saved Pombalinho FC from getting behind. The audience was convinced that David Torres's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adolfo Carneiro was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. In the 6th minute, Alexandre Leite hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Torres in the 9th minute of play forced Pombalinho FC's goalkeeper Adolfo Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 9 played minutes Pombalinho FC got a freekick which was hit by Rui Neves. David Torres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11th minute, Rui Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miguel Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Carneiro having to interfere. David Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Adolfo Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adolfo Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Correia in the 22nd minute of play. If Pedro Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 29 played minutes, Argande's Marco Rocha shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Adolfo Carneiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Argande reached it. In the 32nd minute, Miguel Correia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adolfo Carneiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Pombalinho FC's Adolfo Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Torres in the 35th minute of play. If Pedro Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Gaspar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Sérgio Matias made a huge save. 45 minutes into the match, Argande's goal looked a bit too open when António Pedroso came free, but Sérgio Matias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Sérgio Matias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
In the 58th minute Miguel Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Pombalinho FC's Pedro Gaspar in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Argande's goalie prevented a goal. Pombalinho FC's Adolfo Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Correia in the 64th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, António Pedroso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sérgio Matias. Argande's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that António Pedroso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Sérgio Matias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from António Pedroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 73 minutes into the game, one of Pombalinho FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Argande a penalty, 75 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Marco Rocha, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pombalinho FC's Adolfo Carneiro. 1-2. Pedro Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Matias having to interfere. Argande's Sérgio Matias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Gaspar in the 85th minute of play. With a little luck, Pombalinho FC's Adolfo Carneiro got control of the ball when David Torres tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 90th minute Miguel Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Argande's zone, Pedro Gaspar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sérgio Matias came out of the goal and Pedro Gaspar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sérgio Matias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from António Pedroso in the 95th minute of play. After having played for 97 minutes, António Pedroso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pombalinho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but António Pedroso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 98th minute, Alexandre Leite hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When António Pedroso, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 99 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Sérgio Matias was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar.
